When should I use the bite block? Only use the bite block when making impressions. The bite block is not necessary when making solid ear plugs. Which side of the bite block should I use? In general, use the smaller side. If the individual has an unusually large head, use the bigger side. Is impression material heat sensitive? Yes. All impression material and TIPS should be kept in tupperware and stored in a cooler when temperatures are over 70 degrees. At temps under 70, the material does not require any special handling.
